About the “Version Y” Aluminum Lightweight Steering Knuckles
Champion Design & Performance
The Shibata “Version Y” Aluminum Lightweight Steering Knuckles were developed by 2024 R.C.D.C. champion Hayato Yoshiba and engineered for the competitive “Tohoku Style” drifting scene. Originally refined from a 3D-printed prototype, the final “Y Knuckle” geometry provides increased steering angle and a highly responsive yet lightweight front end that hooks aggressively into turns while maintaining improved stability compared to earlier versions. CNC-crafted from lightweight aluminum, these knuckles reduce front-end weight while maintaining rigidity for precise steering response and consistent control during high-level drifting. Designed with competition regulations in mind and compatible with all GRK platforms, the Version Y knuckles deliver race-ready performance while being available in matte black, glossy purple, and glossy red for a bold, professional finish.
