Description

The Nazgul ECO XL5 V1.1 6S Analog is a lightweight and cost-effective 5-inch freestyle BNF drone for pilots who want a classic analog FPV setup with strong 6S performance.

With its True-X geometry, BLITZ F7 Flight Controller, BLITZ E55 4-IN-1 ESC, BLITZ 5.8GHz 1.6W VTX, XING-E Pro 2207 1800KV motors, and Nazgul F5 propellers, the XL5 ECO is a practical platform for freestyle, training, everyday flying, and analog FPV setups.

This is the analog XL5 version. It is designed for analog FPV goggles or goggles with a compatible analog receiver module. DJI Goggles, Walksnail goggles, and HDZero goggles are not directly compatible unless they are used with a suitable analog video receiver.

Lightweight and Durable
The Nazgul XL5 ECO combines a carbon fiber frame with an aluminum camera mount, creating a lightweight yet robust platform for 5-inch freestyle flying.

Its True-X geometry is designed for a direct, symmetrical, and responsive flight feel. This makes the XL5 ECO well suited for freestyle, everyday practice, quick direction changes, and classic analog FPV flying.

Anti-Spark Filter
Connecting a 6S battery can create a visible spark at the XT60 connector. This is caused by the initial current rush into the ESC and capacitor system.

The integrated Anti-Spark Filter helps reduce plug-in spark, protects the XT60 connector from unnecessary wear, and helps reduce sudden voltage and current spikes when connecting the battery.

BLITZ F7 Stack – Updated Electronics
The current version of the Nazgul ECO XL5 V1.1 uses the BLITZ F7 Flight Controller together with the BLITZ E55 4-IN-1 ESC.

This update replaces the earlier BLITZ ATF435 / E55S stack and provides a modern base for reliable 6S performance, clean Betaflight configuration, and practical maintenance.

BLITZ 5.8GHz 1.6W Analog VTX
The pre-installed BLITZ 5.8GHz 1.6W VTX provides a strong analog video signal for classic 5.8GHz analog FPV setups.

Actual range depends on local regulations, selected channel, antenna setup, environment, and VTX output power. Please always follow the legal frequency and power limits in your country.

Enhanced User Experience and Easier Maintenance
The XL5 ECO comes with an integrated buzzer, a receiver mounting area, and side panels installed by default.

This helps keep the build cleaner, improves protection around the internal electronics, and makes maintenance, troubleshooting, and receiver access easier.

DIY Customization Space
The frame provides standard 20×20mm and 30.5×30.5mm mounting options.

This keeps the XL5 ECO flexible for maintenance, repairs, and future modifications. Many common FPV components, flight stacks, and VTX systems can be integrated more easily into the frame layout.

BNF Factory Setup

This drone is delivered as a BNF, which means Bind-and-Fly.

It is assembled, factory configured, and tested before shipment. However, BNF does not mean Ready-to-Fly. The drone still needs to be bound to a compatible radio controller before the first flight.

Before the first flight, check all screws, motor direction, propeller orientation, failsafe behavior, video channel, OSD, Betaflight modes, and voltage warning settings.

ReadyFly Kits – Complete FPV Sets Available

This product is sold as a BNF drone.

BNF means Bind-and-Fly: the drone is assembled, tuned, and equipped with the selected receiver version, but it still needs to be bound to a compatible radio controller before flight.

If you need a complete FPV setup, we also offer ReadyFly Kits or compatible accessory bundles in our shop. These make it easier to combine suitable goggles, radio controller, batteries, charger, and accessories.

Choose this BNF drone if you already have compatible analog FPV equipment.

Choose a ReadyFly Kit or accessory bundle if you want a more complete FPV setup.

Choose the Correct Receiver Version

Please choose the receiver version that matches your radio controller.

Available receiver versions:

• PNP / Without RX
• TBS Crossfire Nano RX
• iFlight ELRS 2.4GHz RX
• iFlight ELRS 868/915MHz RX

The analog VTX is responsible only for video transmission. The selected receiver version determines how the drone receives control commands from your radio controller.

PNP / Without RX
Choose this version only if you want to install your own receiver.

This version does not include a radio receiver. A compatible receiver must be installed, wired, configured in Betaflight, and tested by the customer before flight.

ELRS 2.4GHz Version
Choose this version if you use an ELRS 2.4GHz radio controller, for example an iFlight Commando 8 or Commando 14 ELRS 2.4GHz.

ELRS 868/915MHz Version
Choose this version only if your radio controller or external module supports ELRS 868/915MHz.

ELRS 2.4GHz and ELRS 868/915MHz are not compatible with each other.

TBS Crossfire Version
Choose this version if you use a TBS Crossfire radio or a compatible Crossfire module.

Options

This product is available with different GPS options depending on the selected variant.

No GPS Version
Choose this version if you do not need GPS from the factory or if you prefer to install your own GPS module later.

This version does not include a pre-installed GPS module. GPS functions such as GPS coordinates, GPS telemetry, and Betaflight GPS Rescue are not available unless a compatible GPS module is installed, wired, configured, and tested by the customer.

The rear of the drone is prepared for GPS installation. To add GPS later, the customer needs a compatible GPS module, a suitable TPU GPS holder, the required tools, wiring, and the technical knowledge to connect the GPS to the flight controller and configure it correctly in Betaflight.

GPS Pre-Installed Version
Choose this version if you want the drone to include a factory-installed GPS module.

The GPS version can support GPS coordinates, telemetry, and Betaflight GPS Rescue after correct setup and testing by the pilot.

Important: GPS Rescue is not enabled by default and must not be treated as a guaranteed return-to-home function. It must be configured, checked, and tested carefully before use.

Battery Recommendations

This drone is designed for 6S batteries.

Most pilots use batteries between 1380mAh and 2200mAh.

Freestyle / responsive flying:

6S 1380–1550mAh LiPo with high discharge rate

General flying:

6S 1480–1550mAh LiPo with high discharge rate

Cinematic / GoPro-style flying:

6S 1550–1850mAh LiPo with high discharge rate

Longer smooth cruising:

6S 1850–2200mAh LiPo with high discharge rate

Maximum endurance / smooth cruising only:

Important Li-Ion Note:

Li-Ion batteries are recommended only for smooth cruising and endurance-oriented flying. They are not suitable for aggressive freestyle, racing, repeated punch-outs, or high-current flying.

Li-Ion batteries behave differently from LiPo batteries and may require adjusted Betaflight voltage warnings.

Action Camera Support

The Nazgul XL5 ECO has a front mounting position for a GoPro or similar action camera when a compatible mount is used.

Adding an action camera increases takeoff weight, changes flight behavior, increases current draw, and usually reduces flight time.
